David Brax - Email
Mr. Brax joined Findlay's music faculty in 2015 after teaching band and beginning strings at Westview High School in Avondale, Arizona, for three years. He is an accomplished musician, specializing in cello, but also playing guitar, piano, French horn and trumpet. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in music education in 2012. At BGSU, he studied under cello professor Dr. Alan Smith and performed with the BGSU Philharmonia and the Falcon Marching Band. While living in Arizona, he performed with the Scottsdale Philharmonic and the Community Orchestra for Phoenix College.


Kenneth Pressel - Email
Mr. Pressel joined Findlay's music faculty in 1993 and is a recipient of the Rotary Club's "Golden Apple" award for teaching excellence. He began playing violin at age 8, participating in his public school's orchestra program, and playing in youth orchestras. He began his collegiate years at York College in Pennsylvania where he performed regularly with the York and Harrisburg Symphonies. While attending the Congress of Strings, he studied with Howard Beebe who invited him to finish his undergraduate studies at Ohio University. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of music in violin performance, and then completed a master of music degree in violin performance while on a full tuition scholarship, at Ohio University.  At OU, Mr. Pressel studied with Beebe and Franticek Pospissil of the Prague Conservatory, served as concertmaster of the Ohio University Symphony Orchestra, and performed regularly with the West Virginia Symphony. Mr. Pressel is a member of the Findlay String Quartet, and performs occasionally for community and university productions.
